A Blackpool Pub with Proper Character
The Pump and Truncheon isn’t just another pub — it’s part of Blackpool’s history.
Located on Bonny Street, just off the Golden Mile, the pub has long been known as a hidden gem tucked away from the main strip. It originally earned its name from being a favourite spot for local police officers, thanks to its location near the old police station and courts.
Over the years, it’s built a reputation as a friendly, traditional pub with real character, known for good pints, great people, and a proper community feel. It even picked up recognition as one of Blackpool’s standout pubs and was a favourite for locals wanting something more authentic than the usual tourist spots.
Now, under new management, we’re bringing that spirit back — combining the best of a classic Blackpool pub with a fresh, lively twist.
